Just for your information, I had this shortcut pinned to the taskbar under previous versions of Firefox. Meanwhile, I may not have left it too explicit, but I did manage to get the FF shortcut pinned to the taskbar, by following the second path I mentioned in my message above under 'Windows 10', specifically, C: > Prog Files (x86) > Mozilla Firefox > Pin to Taskbar. I wish someone could prove or disprove this suspicion. It sounds much like Win 10 might be the culprit.
